Triptii Dimri became a household name after her short stint in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress has ever since been ruling the roost. Reports are now rife that the actress might step into the shoes of late iconic actress Parveen Babi in her biopic series.
Series in the works
A source-based report in Pinkvilla stated, “It is being developed as a limited-edition series for Netflix with Shonali Bose as the director. The idea is to take it on floors by March 2026.”
Arth was a rebirth for Bhatt
In a recent conversation with News18, Mahesh Bhatt credited Parveen for giving him a new lease of life to his career. He shared, “She was an extraordinary lady, and had it not been for her, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Arth was my rebirth in a way—after my disastrous beginnings in my 20s, when I got into my 30s, the first film I made at 32 was Arth. And Arth was possible because of my relationship with Parveen Babi and my traumatised relationship when I gave up a home with my first love, my first wife Kiran Bhatt. So that was the bedrock—the truth on which Arth was made. But fortunately, I was sane enough not to make it from a male perspective but from a female perspective, which was a very refreshing take on the extramarital issue. Until then, all men who made movies in Bollywood approached it from a male perspective.”On the work front, Parveen Babi is known for her films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Deewaar, Shaan, and Suhaag, Kaala Patthar, Namak Halaal, and Majboor.Triptii, on the other hand, had a glorious year in 2024 with several releases that included Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She was last seen in Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
