MAGA influencer Elijah Schaffer, known for his racist takes, mocked the Indian accent of Abraham George, the chairman of the Texas GOP, and said Texas is looking more and more like Mumbai because the Republican Party is orchestrating it. “The Texas GOP is lead by an Indian with an Indian accent. Now you know why Texas is turning into Mumbai and the center of H1B immigration fraud. Our own party is orchestrating it, it’s not just the Democrats. Indians are loyal to their race & non Indian politicians are paid off,” Elijah posted. While Indian-origin politicians like Vivek Ramaswamy face racist attacks in the US because of their Hindu religion, Abraham George is Christian. He was elected the chairman in 2024 after his 2023 defeat in the Republican primary for Texas’s 89th House district. It’s not only Elijah who attacked Abraham after the Texas GOP shared a news video of Abraham speaking about American rights. “God gave you life. Texas is one of the states with a huge Indian population. According to Pew Research, 960,000 out of the US’s Indian population of 4.9 million, or 20%, live in California. Other states with large Indian populations are Texas (570,000), New Jersey (440,000), New York (390,000) and Illinois (270,000). Metropolitan areas with the largest Indian populations include New York (710,000), Dallas (270,000) and San Francisco (260,000) metro areas.
