Kareena Kapoor has proved to be a charming actress and Bollywood’s favourite foodie – and the fans might not get enough of it. Expressing her love for Punjabi and Sindhi cuisine, the 45-year-old made sure her hardcore menu makes the viewers drool. Whether it’s the daily delicacies with Punjabi spices or the Sunday special menu with Sindhi spreads, the actress shared what her kitchen looks like.
Kareena Kapoor’s kitchen: From Punjabi dishes to Sindhi specials
In a March 2024 interview with Ranveer Allahbadia for ‘The Ranveer Show,’ Kareena Kapoor opened up about the comfort food and the spices she likes to eat daily. Alongside the classic desi Chinese cuisine, the actress opened up about how she needs the proper Punjabi food, such as kadhi chawal and rajma chawal. When the content creator asked whether the delicious dishes were her comfort food, she immediately denied and claimed that that’s her proper food. Claiming her food tastes differ from Saif Ali Khan’s mild-flavored food in the day, Kapoor added that she has a ‘Punjabi swaad’ in her food. Talking about the Sunday special menu, the ‘Jab We Met’ actress said, “I’d like have Sindhi curry, aloo tuk, otherwise I’ll have biryani.” Mentioning that lineage, Kareena stated that her mother is half Sindhi, leading to a quite dangerous combination for food. While she might have been brought up in Mumbai, the actress said that she feels like a proper desi Punjabi from within, especially when it comes to the meals.
Kareena Kapoor’s tastes differ from Saif Ali Khan and their children
Giving a glimpse of her family’s nourishment choices, Kapoor mentioned that Saif Ali Khan preferred vegetarian options, such as bhindi/gobi sabzi in the day, paired with dal. However, she has her favorites with passion at least once a day. While the actor can eat one type of mix regularly without any change, just like his sister, she asks her cook to change the mains. As for their children, Taimur follows the direction of his father, but Jeh takes a different route with parathas and white butter.
