In Hindu tradition, marriage is not just a union of two people and their families, but a sacred bond which is built on trust, love, and spiritual commitment. In Hindu weddings, the bride and groom take the Saath Vachans, also called Saat Pheras, around the Agni (holy fire)– these are seven sacred vows and they are one of the main rituals of a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Each of the seven vows represents a promise that the bride and groom make to each other in the presence of Agni, the holy fire.
