Vikram Bhatt and his daughter have been booked by the Versova Police after a businessman accused them of taking money with a promise of high returns. The father-daughter duo allegedly assured profitable gains from investments in films and other ventures.

As reported by IANS, a complaint filed by a businessman has led to a case being registered against filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his daughter, Krishna Bhatt, for allegedly cheating him of Rs. 13.5 crore. The Economic Offences Wing has taken over the probe and is currently examining the details of the alleged financial fraud.
Vikram Bhatt prior Udaipur custody
Previously, Vikram and his wife, Shwetambari, were placed in seven-day police custody by the ACJM court in Udaipur for their alleged involvement in a separate Rs.30 crore fraud case. The couple was arrested from their Mumbai home on December 7 and brought to Udaipur, where they were presented before the court. The investigation is being supervised by DSP Chhagan Singh Rajpurohit. Upon reaching Udaipur, the two tried to steer clear of media attention. Vikram Bhatt remains in custody in connection with the Rs.30 crore fraud case.
Vikram Bhatt Juhu apartment arrest
Following an FIR filed by Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira Group and Indira IVF, a police team of six officers led by DSP Rajpurohit detained Vikram and Shwetambari Bhatt from their Juhu flat in Mumbai. The couple’s security staff initially resisted the police, claiming the two were not at home, but they were eventually apprehended.
Vikram Bhatt biopic investment pitch
According to Dr. Ajay Murdia, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his team convinced him to invest in a proposed biopic based on his wife’s life. He mentioned that he was first approached by Dinesh Kataria and later met Bhatt at Vrindavan Studio in Mumbai. Dr. Murdia alleged that the director assured him a ₹7 crore investment would finance four films and bring in profits between Rs.100 and Rs.200 crore.
