Actor Vicky Kaushal may have hit his career best box office record this year with ‘Chhaava’, but the actor says no professional milestone can match the joy he has felt since becoming a father.
Vicky on becoming a dad
Kaushal and wife, Katrina Kaif, who married in December 2021, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, in November this year. Opening up about becoming a dad, he said in an interview with GQ India, “Becoming a father this year is my biggest moment of 2025. It is a magical feeling.”
The actor, who previously expressed his eagerness to welcome his baby, had gushed, “I think it’s a huge blessing and exciting times.”Now that he is a dad to a baby boy, the actor said, “I always felt that when the time comes, I will be very emotional and ecstatic, but it has actually been the most grounding moment I have ever experienced in my life.”
Vicky a ‘Game of Thrones ‘ fan
While juggling new parenthood and a packed film schedule, Vicky revealed that he has managed to squeeze in time to revisit his favourite television show. “I have just finished a re-run of Game of Thrones, this is my third time,” he shared.
Vicky’s upcoming films
Kaushal, who had a phenomenal run at the box office with ‘Chhaava’ becoming the highest-grossing film of the year, quickly immersed himself in his next film, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. The actor will be seen playing the role of a fighter pilot, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, with Alia Bhatt reportedly playing their love interest. Touted as a tale of passion, pride and conflict, the film, which is slated to bring an epic love triangle to screens, is slated for an August 2026 release.Vicky also has the mythological epic ‘Mahavatar’ in the pipeline. The mythological film will reportedly see the star play the role of Lord Parashurama in the upcoming Amar Kaushik directorial. The film is said to be an ambitious cinematic project based on the life of the warrior-sage. While originally slated for a Christmas 2026 release, the film has been delayed to 2027.
