Indore Tops Cleanliness Rankings for the Eighth Time
Ujjains Honour in the Super League Category a Matter of Pride
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh will once again feel proud in the upcoming ‘Swachh Survekshan’ (Cleanliness Survey) Awards. The Chief Minister informed that on 17 July, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, will felicitate eight cities of Madhya Pradesh for their outstanding performance in various categories of cleanliness. He congratulated all sanitation workers, mayors, chairpersons, councillors, officials, employees of urban bodies and citizens for this collective achievement.
Indore to be Awarded in the “Super Swachh League” for the Eighth Time
CM Dr. Yadav stated that Indore will be honoured in the Super Swachh League category for the eighth consecutive time. Indore has previously secured the title of India’s cleanest city seven times, and based on its consistent performance and future potential, it will once again receive the Swachh League Award this year.
Ujjain will be honoured in the category of cities with a population of 3 to 10 lakh, which is a proud achievement. Similarly, Budhni City will be honoured in the category of towns with a population of less than 20 thousand.
Bhopal to Be Recognised as the Best Capital City in the Country
The Chief Minister highlighted that Bhopal, known for its natural beauty, has also set benchmarks in cleanliness and will be awarded as the Best Capital City in India. Cities like Gwalior, Dewas, Shahganj and Jabalpur will also receive awards in various categories.
CM Dr. Yadav added that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a clean India is being fulfilled step-by-step by Madhya Pradesh. He urged citizens to maintain cleanliness in their homes, neighbourhoods, colonies, and towns, and to adopt this lifestyle as a model for the world.
The Chief Minister shared this message for the people of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday before departing for Dubai from New Delhi.
