Actor-director SJ Suryah had an accident on the sets of his new movie ‘Killer’. It is a sad incident as he returns to direction with this project after ‘Isai’. SJ Suryah’s accident took place at Palavakkam, Chennai, during the third filming schedule of the movie, as the team was working on an action scene. Considering the fact that the actor is famous for doing his action stunts himself, it looks like he was trying to record some series of punches and kicks, and this caused a lot of concern to many film workers and also to his comfort.
Rope stunt goes wrong
As per the report by Nakkheeran, during the filming of a scene where SJ Suryah was required to get down from height by climbing a rope, he slipped and fell on a steel rod, injuring several places on both his legs. Shooting was called off immediately to take SJ Suryah to a nearby hospital for medical care. It was a shock and surprise for all, as this was one such vital scene of the thriller movie.
SJ Suryah hospitalised with stitches
At the hospital, doctors confirmed SJ Suryah had inflicted deep cuts on both of his legs which were stitched. Though the injuries were said to be serious, Suryah is in a stable condition and under observation. The doctors have advised the actor to take rest for 15 days at least to recover from the injuries. On medical advice, the ‘Killer’ producers have also postponed his shooting until his recovery.

‘Killer’ marks the directorial, screenplay, and dialogue-writing debut of SJ Suryah as a leading actor. A soundtrack composed by AR Rahman has been prepared for the film, and SJ Suryah invokes the excitement and romantic comedy of a pan-Indian film similar to ‘Kushi’ mixed with that of a James Bond movie. Movie’s leading actress – Preethi Asrani. The film will be made available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and also in Hindi. An SJ Suryah may still have a chance to bounce back due to the incident.
