
Shruti Haasan recently opened up about the nuanced behaviour of South Indian film stars and how different they are in their personal lives compared to their public appearances. The actress is gearing up for the release of her movie Coolie with Rajinikanth, and she was last seen in Salaar with Prabhas. She pointed out that humility is not always a reflection of personality but sometimes a conscious choice rooted in the fear of losing success. She admitted that there is a fear in such actors.
“So, you’ll see the biggest of stars not take it for granted. They have to stay humble. For the sake of success, they stay humble — that is the keyword. She holds a special place in her heart for Tollywood, as it gave her initial success and recognition compared to Kollywood. “My life changed because Telugu gave me my first home of success. Hyderabad and I have always had a connection,” she said.Shruti recalled attending an award ceremony on behalf of her father as a child, where she read his speech and declared she would one day return to collect her own award. He’s been so kind to me. He’s thankful (for his success), but he’s very nonchalant. Some days, he’s still processing it, to be honest. He’s seen his share of challenges, and now this has happened; there’s something very human and sweet about him.”Shruti added that Rajinikanth has a unique mix of characteristics — he is shrewd and sharp. “But he is also very warm, and I even told him that he was very cool to talk to. He is very nice and easy to converse with; he doesn’t carry the gravitas with him. He always brings good energy with him on the set, and everyone is happy to work with him,” she concluded.
