Salman Khan’s fans always loved his character Prem, be it from ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ (1989), ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’ (1994), or ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999). His massive fan following still wants to see him in the same avatar one more time, and it seems there’s finally some ray of hope. When filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya was recently asked about this, he revealed that he is actually working on it.
Sooraj Barjatya on getting Salman Khan back as Prem in his films
In an interview with India Today, Sooraj Barjatya stated that he is working on a film with Salman Khan. However, the director added that it will take some time. The director said, “Thoda waqt hai.” He added, “We are working on the story of the film with Salman Bhai. But we will also have to have an age-appropriate script for the same.” Well, this confirmation will surely leave Bhai fans super excited.Salman and Sooraj Barjatya’s last collaboration was ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which starred Sonam Kapoor as the female lead. The movie was released in 2015.
Salman Khan’s projects
Meanwhile, Salman Khan was last seen in ‘Sikandar’. The A. R. Murugadoss-directed film failed to score well at the box office. Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, the film was released in March this year.Salman will next feature in the film titled ‘Battle of Galwan’. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film’s story revolves around the fierce 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese forces in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley. As per the reports, Chintrangda Singh has been roped in as the female lead of the film. The makers are yet to announce the official release date of the film.
Sooraj Barjatya’s projects
Sooraj Barjatya’s last film was ‘Uunchai’, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta and Sarika. The film was released on 11 November 2022. According to Wiki, the film earned Rs 48.99 crore worldwide. The movie bagged the Best Direction honour at the 70th National Film Awards.
