RSSB Lab Assistant recruitment 2026: Registration for 804 posts to begin January 27 onwards, details here

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has officially announced the Lab Assistant Recruitment 2026, opening a major government job opportunity for candidates with a science background. As per RSSB Chairman Alok Raj, the online registration process for Lab Assistant posts will be conducted from January 27 to February 25, 2026. A total of 804 vacancies have been notified across Science and Geography streams.The recruitment drive is conducted with the aim of filling up laboratory support staff vacancies in government schools and institutions across the state of Rajasthan. The candidates are selected through a written test and then followed by document verification. As far as posts go, these are Lab Assistant positions, which fall under Group-C of the state. Noticeably, there is a division of posts for a Science Lab Assistant and a Geography Lab Assistant. Total vacancies announced

The RSSB has notified 804 Lab Assistant posts in total. These vacancies are expected to be distributed across various districts and departments in Rajasthan. Reservation rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and other categories will be applicable as per state government norms.

Eligibility criteria

To apply for RSSB Lab Assistant positions, an applicant must have completed his or her 10+2 level from a recognized educational board. Additionally, to apply for Science Lab Assistant positions, it is important to have a Science stream educational background in class 10+2. Candidates with Geography as a subject in their 10+2 level can also apply for Geography Lab Assistant positions through RSSB Recruitment 2021. The applicant must be aware of Rajasthani culture and have proficient knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari script. The minimum age of applicants is 18 years only, while the upper age is 35 years in most of the cases.
