Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today made an unannounced visit to Dhodhrikhala (Navapara) Para in Gram Panchayat Hargawan under Janpad Panchayat Shankargarh. His helicopter landed directly in the village as part of a surprise inspection under the ‘Sushasan Tihar’. The sudden arrival of the Chief Minister by helicopter sparked a wave of excitement and curiosity among the villagers. A large number of residents rushed to witness the chopper’s landing.

The villagers extended a traditional welcome to the Chief Minister. Women ceremonially washed his feet, applied a tilak on his forehead, and adorned him with a garland made of sarai (Shorea robusta) leaves. They also sang a traditional welcome song. Hargawan is a predominantly tribal village inhabited by members of the Pahadi Korwa, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG).
At Dhodhrikhala Para, the Chief Minister held a chaupal (community gathering) under the shade of jackfruit, mango, and mahua trees. He engaged in direct interaction with the villagers and attentively listened to their concerns.

One woman highlighted the problem of water scarcity, prompting the Chief Minister to seek immediate ground-level information from the officials present. Similarly, Mrs. Deepu Baghel from Belsar village shared that she was unable to cultivate land allotted under forest rights pattas. Shri Sai directed the district administration and the police department to investigate the matter promptly and take appropriate action.
Chief Minister also inquired whether the villagers were receiving the benefits of government schemes, whether the patwari (village revenue officer) regularly visited the village, and if there were any issues related to revenue administration.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, 16 out of the 19 approved housing units have been completed in Dhodhrikhala Para. Shri Sai reviewed the progress and discussed the implementation status of various schemes with the villagers.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh accompanied Shri Sai on this visit. Upon receiving news of the Chief Minister’s arrival, the District Collector and Superintendent of Police also reached the spot.
