
Under the ongoing state-wide Sushasan Tihar, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai made a surprise landing by helicopter today in the village of Dokra in Jashpur district and participated in the ‘Samadhan Shivir’ (Grievance Redressal Camp) organised there. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the opening of a college and a mini-stadium in Dokra.

He also declared the upgradation of the Primary Health Centre and the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in the village, along with the beautification of the Doryamunda Reservoir. Additionally, he sanctioned Rs 20 lakh for the renovation of the community function hall and approved the restoration of the Shiv Temple premises.

Addressing the camp, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that through the Sushasan Tihar, the government is reaching out to villages across the state. He assured that all beneficiaries whose names are included in the survey list under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) will be sanctioned housing units. He added that in the past one and a half years, the state government has fulfilled the majority of the guarantees made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the course of Sushasan Tihar, keys of the completed houses under PMAY are being handed over to beneficiaries, facilitating their housewarming ceremonies, while new approvals are also being granted under the scheme.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further mentioned that the camps held under the festival are effectively addressing people’s issues and demands. He highlighted that in order to ensure availability of online and banking services in rural areas, Atal Digital Service Centres have been established in 1,460 gram panchayats. These centres are enabling villagers to access a wide range of online services, including essential documents and financial transactions.

The event was also graced by the Chief Minister’s wife, Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, Vice-Chairperson of the Sarguja Tribal Development Authority and MLA from Pathalgaon, Mrs. Gomti Sai, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, along with other public representatives and a large number of villagers.

During the camp, Chief Minister Shri Sai handed over house keys to PMAY beneficiaries for their new homes, and issued sanction letters for new housing construction under the scheme. He also distributed Mudra loans, social security pensions, new ration cards, Kisan Credit Cards, fishing nets and ice boxes, MGNREGA job cards, and sports kits to volleyball and cricket players. On this occasion, meritorious students who secured top positions in the High School and Higher Secondary Board Examinations were felicitated by the Chief Minister.
