Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the grand ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ Conclave organized by News18 Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh in the state capital Raipur. The event featured discussions on various aspects of development, good governance, and public welfare in the state. On this occasion, CM Sai reaffirmed his government’s commitment to driving rapid and inclusive development across Chhattisgarh.

CM Sai stated that the three crore people of Chhattisgarh have given an unprecedented mandate, and his government started work immediately upon assuming office. In the very first cabinet meeting, 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses were approved, enabling thousands of families to realize their dream of homeownership. In a landmark decision for the agricultural sector, the state has begun procuring paddy at ₹3100 per quintal, including payment of two years’ pending dues to farmers. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, ₹1000 monthly assistance is being provided to 70 lakh women across the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted several tribal empowerment initiatives—from distribution of footwear under the Charan Paduka scheme, to bonuses for tendu leaf collectors, and the Teerth Darshan Yojana which is enabling the underprivileged to undertake religious pilgrimages.

He further said that the government had promised to bring banking access to village panchayats, and under this initiative, Atal Digital Centres have already been established in 1,460 gram panchayats, with plans for expansion to all panchayats soon. The responsibility for Ready-to-Eat meal production has once again been handed over to women self-help groups, reaffirming the commitment to women’s economic empowerment.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state is moving ahead resolutely with the mission to eliminate Naxalism. The central government has set a national deadline of March 31, 2026, to make India Naxal-free. Under the Niyad Nellnar Yojana, accelerated development works are being carried out in affected villages. This transformation has been made possible through the unwavering commitment of the double-engine government at the Centre and the state.
The ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ Conclave hosted several thought-provoking sessions focusing on the state’s potential, achievements, and the road ahead. It served as a powerful platform for discourse on governance, empowerment, and innovation, presenting Chhattisgarh’s vision confidently on the national stage.
