Dane Rudhyar, who was one of the most influential thinker, an American author, modernist composer and humanistic astrologer. He was a pioneer of modern transpersonal astrology. Astrology is a language
According to Dane Rudhyar, astrology is a language same as other languages. The language is a medium to covert symbols into meanings so he viewed astrology as a symbolic language where you understand the meaning of this language through planets, signs, houses and aspects. He explained that when the sky speaks, it does not speak through words or any language but it speaks through rhythms and psychological patterns. You can see when divine cosmos and human consciousness have dialogue with each other through these astrological symbols. As per Rudhyar, the horoscope is fixed at the time of your birth. The planets are there to give you experience. According to him, if people want to understand the astrology then they should learn this symbolic language rather treating astrology as a superstition.
Astrology is beyond prediction
Traditional astrology focuses on predicting external events such as success, failure, love and marriage. But astrologer wanted to challenge the limitations of this subject because he believed that astrology is more than just predictions. It helps people to understand their life’s purpose, and the role of destiny. He meant that sky does not tell what is going to happen in one’s life but it reveals about the good time and soul’s life time experiences.
Astrology and conscious living
Dane Rudhyar was extremely spiritual and he always believed that astrology encourage people to make conscious choices in life with full awareness. Through astrology, they can at least know the things about them deeply and on that basis they can take their decisions without any fear. He meant that sky does not punish people but it allows them to correct the things and know when to act and when to stop.
