Filmmaker Priyadarshan recently opened up about the equation he shares with ‘Dhurandhar’ director Aditya Dhar. The veteran moviemaker called the latter one of his loyal boys. The ‘Khatta Meetha’ director also stated that Dhar wanted to pursue cricket; however, an incident changed his decision. He also stated that the ‘Uri’ helmer never got his due credit. Priyadarshan says Aditya Dhar never got his due
According to the Mid-Day report, Priyadarshan shared that Aditya Dhar still gives him the same respect he used to before. The ‘Bhagam Bhaag’ director added that while shooting for ‘Bhoot Bangla’, Dhar visited the sets of the film to show the trailer of his movie ‘Dhurandhar’.
He said, “That’s the kind of relationship I share with him—a guru and shishya.” Priyadarshan further shared that even after writing several film scripts that went on to become hits, Aditya “never got his due credit because the directors took his research, hard work, and talent but kept him aside.” He added, “I am very proud of him; he has made it so big.”Meanwhile, apart from writing scripts and directing movies, did you know Aditya Dhar has also penned lyrics for movies like ‘Kabul Express’, ‘Haal-e-Dil’, and ‘Daddy Cool’?
