
Actor Aasif Khan, who rose to prominence with his performance in the hit web series Panchayat, suffered a heart attack on Monday evening and was subsequently hospitalised in Mumbai. However, the actor is now stable and out of danger. Life is short, don’t take one day for granted. Everything can change in a moment. Be grateful for all you have and all that you are. Remember who is more important to you and always cherish them. Life is a gift and we are blessed.”

In a follow-up post, Aasif provided a health update and thanked everyone for their concern.“Over the past few hours, I’ve been dealing with some health issues that required hospitalisation. I’m grateful to share that I’m now on the road to recovery and feeling much better. I truly appreciate all the love, concern, and well-wishes. Your support means the world to me. I’ll be back very soon,” he wrote, adding a red heart and folded hands emoji.

Aasif Khan has become a well-recognised name in the digital entertainment space, with notable performances in Mirzapur, Paatal Lok, Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega, Human, and of course, Panchayat.Most recently, he appeared in the horror-comedy The Bhootnii alongside Sanjay Dutt, playing the role of Nasir, a quirky villager who adds comic relief to the eerie narrative.
In Panchayat, which is set in the fictional village of Phulera in Uttar Pradesh, Aasif’s role as Ganesh, the dedicated office assistant, struck a chord with viewers. The show follows the life of Abhishek Tripathi (played by Jitendra Kumar), an engineering graduate who reluctantly takes up a government job as a village secretary. All four seasons of the show are available on Prime Video.
