The much-anticipated teaser of Vishal Bharadwaj helmed ‘O’Romeo’ was released on January 10, 2026. Prior to that, the first look poster of Shahid Kapoor was also released which featured the name of the OTT giant. Reports have been doing the rounds that the said OTT platform has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights for ‘O’Romeo’.
About ‘O’Romeo’
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, the action-thriller is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 13, 2026, over the Valentine’s Day weekend. Following the standard theatrical window which is expected to be around 45–60 days, the film will make its digital debut.
Recent reports have confirmed that ‘O’Romeo’ is a reimagining of the long-shelved ‘Sapna Didi’ biopic, originally planned with Deepika Padukone and the late Irrfan Khan. The 95-second teaser clip of ‘O’Romeo’ features a “feral” Shahid Kapoor flaunting a bulky physique and full-body tattoos, that are reportedly central to the plot’s psychological depth. The film also features Nana Patekar as a ruthless underworld don, Farida Jalal in a “savage” new avatar, Vikrant Massey, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia and Disha Patani.’O’Romeo’ will face a box office clash against Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav starrer survival thriller ‘Tu Yaa Main’, which also arrives on February 13.

According to the official poster unveiled by Shahid Kapoor on his official Instagram handle, the OTT partner has been specified as Amazon Prime Video. Notably, ‘O’Romeo’ marks fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj after ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’ and ‘Rangoon’.
