National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has shared a new notice for non-academic jobs. It is for the year 2026. This hiring is for 173 posts. The jobs come under Group A, Group B, and Group C. Posts are for NCERT head office and other units in India. Candidates can apply if they match the rules. The notice is now live and open for applications.The official notice comes under Advertisement No. 01/2025/Non-Academic. NCERT shared it on their official site ncert.nic.in. Only eligible candidates should apply. If you want to apply, you need to fill the online form. Do it before the last date given in the notice. Late forms will not be accepted.Posts and vacancy detailsNCERT has announced 173 total vacancies in this recruitment. These posts are split into three groups. Group A has nine posts. These are from pay level 10 to 12. Group B includes 26 posts. These fall under pay levels 6 to 8. Group C has the highest number. It has 138 posts from pay levels 2 to 5.This recruitment includes many different jobs. Some higher posts are Superintending Engineer, Production Officer, and Business Manager. There are also roles like Assistant Engineer Grade-A and Senior Accountant.Other posts include Junior Hindi Translator, Cameraman Grade-II, and Technician Grade-I. Office and support jobs like Lower Division Clerk and Lab Assistant are also there. Trades like Painter and Carpenter are included too.Eligibility and educational requirementsThe education needed is not same for all posts. It depends on the job. Some posts need only 10th or 12th pass. Others ask for ITI or diploma.Many roles need a graduate or postgraduate degree. A few posts also need work experience. This experience can be in media, engineering, finance, library work, printing, or similar fields.Higher posts need more study and experience. Jobs like Superintending Engineer ask for advanced technical degrees. They also need many years of work experience.Lower level posts are easier to enter. Roles like Lower Division Clerk and Technician Grade-I need basic education. Some skills are also needed, like typing or technical certificates.Salary structure and job locationIf you get selected, your pay will depend on the post. Pay levels range from Level 2 to Level 12. Salaries start at Rs 19,900 per month. The highest goes up to Rs 2,09,200 per month. All jobs are at NCERT headquarters or other units across India.Selection process and application detailsThe selection has few steps. First, there is a computer-based written test. Some jobs also need skill or trade tests. Interviews are held for certain posts. Documents will be checked at the end. You can apply online starting December 27, 2025. The last date to submit is January 16, 2026.The application fee is different for each pay level. Some candidates do not need to pay. SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen, and women are exempted. You have to pay the fee online only. No other mode is accepted.
