Actor and former boxer Mickey Rourke recently posted a crowdfunding request after his landlord served him with an eviction notice. As per recent reports, the actor has set up a crowdfunding page where he is asking people for the money that is due for his rent.
Mickey Rourke sets up a fundraising website
According to The Hollywood Reporter, on January 4, Liya-Joelle Jones, a part of the actor’s management team, posted the fundraising link. The fundraiser has been titled ‘Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home’, with a goal of USD 100,000 set. The description for his fundraiser on the website read, “Mickey Rourke is currently facing a very difficult and urgent situation: he is at risk of being evicted from his home. Life doesn’t always move in a straight line, and despite everything Mickey has given through his work and his life, he is now dealing with a challenging financial moment that has put his housing at risk.”As per a report from People, a complaint was filed against Rourke for a total of USD 59,100 that he owed to his landlord. He was served with a notice from his landlord, Eric Goldie, to pay the dues that he owed or vacate the premises within three days of the official notice. The amount was for past-due rent as well as attorney fees compensation, among other things. In the complaint, his landlord also requested the forfeiture of their rent agreement papers.

Talking to the publication, Jones mentioned how the star is going through a rough time, and that it has been emotional to see how many people have come forward to support him. “Mickey is going through a very difficult time right now, and it’s been incredibly touching to see how many people care about him and want to help,” Liya shared.
About his LA home
The actor had started leasing the property in question in March 2025. The rent for the place had been USD 5,200 initially, but was later raised to USD 7,000 a month.
