Malayalam icon Mammootty’s latest action thriller, ‘Kalamkaval’ was released on Friday, and the movie has been performing well in its opening two days. Also starring Vinayakan, the film helmed by debutant director Jithin K. Jose saw minimal growth at the box office on Day 2.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the movie collected over Rs 5.25 crore based on early estimates. This indicates that the movie had a 25 lakh rise in collections after scoring a good opening day collection of Rs 5 crore. This brings the film’s total net collection to an estimated Rs 10.25 crore.

Speaking of ‘Kalamkaval’ the film’s overall occupancy on Saturday, was reported to be around 49.32%. The morning shows saw good audience engagement, recording 30.01%. Later, it increased to 44.02% during the afternoon shows and further to 56.73% during the evening shows. Lastly, wrapping up the day, the occupancy peaked during the night shows with up to 66.53%.
