Mahindra NU_iQ platform: All you need to know
Mahindra says that the NU_IQ platform is designed as a flexible, multi-energy architecture capable of supporting multiple powertrain options. Furthermore, it has been engineered with a flat-floor design: a first for an ICE SUV. This will allow for enhanced interior space and even enhanced boot-capacity. Besides that, these upcoming SUVs will be offering both front- and all-wheel-drive configurations. All four concepts are based on Mahindra’s latest ‘Heartcore’ design philosophy, which focuses on bold presence with functionality. Inside, the upcoming SUVs are expected to feature Mahindra’s intuitive NU_UX technology interface, backed by next-gen Integrated Domain Architecture.
Mahindra concept SUVs: Key details
Four distinct concepts made their first appearance: the Vision T, Vision S, Vision SXT, and Vision X: each representing a different family in Mahindra’s portfolio. The Vision T, essentially an evolution of the 2023 Thar.e concept, previews the next-gen Thar with a boxy, military-inspired stance, vertical grille, and rugged off-road hardware, including chunky tyres and a prominent yellow tow hook.
Mahindra Vision S.
The Vision S, likely part of the Scorpio lineage, carries a squared-off silhouette paired with modern elements like flush door handles, L-shaped LED lighting, and roof-mounted lamps for an off-road-ready yet contemporary look.
Mahindra Vision S.
The Vision X, on the other hand, is a sub-four-metre SUV featuring sharp geometric panels, gloss black wheel arches, and a sloping roofline with connected LED tail lamps and sleek DRLs. Lastly, the Vision SXT looks more or less similar to the Vision T, albeit with a pickup-style loading bay with space for two spare tyres, giving it an adventure-focused, multi-purpose look and form factor.
