‘Saiyaara’ has been dominating at the box office ever since the movie released on July 18. The Mohit Suri directorial with Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda has now crossed Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office on its third Monday. Meanwhile, it has now begun to fizzle out. It began slowly from last week onwards, ever since ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’ slowly started getting a lot of praise and the numbers grew through word of mouth. Meanwhile, two new movies release on August 1, Friday – ‘Son Of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’. In this fight of the sequels, the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ has performed better. However, it’s ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’ that has dominated over all the three movies. The weekend which went by was the second weekend of ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’. While on Saturday, it made Rs 15.4 crore, on Sunday, the film saw a huge growth and made Rs 23.4 crore of which 17.8 crore came from the Hindi language. On its second Monday which is day 11, till evening, the film has made Rs 4.1 crore. The total collection of the film so far stands at Rs 95.35 crore, according to Sacnilk. Interestingly, this surpasses its first-week total of just over ₹32 crore nett—a rare feat in recent box office history. Sunday’s numbers were particularly extraordinary, with the film witnessing phenomenal occupancy levels that pushed collections into overdrive. The momentum and audience response have been nothing short of electrifying. The Sunday numbers could be more also due to holiday in school for children. Meanwhile, on day 4, Monday, till evening the collection of ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ is Rs 1.43 crore and it was the same for ‘Saiyaara’ as well. Meanwhile, ‘Dhadak 2’ has made Rs 85 lakhs, till Monday evening. Thus, the Monday numbers are highest at the moment for ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’ as compared to all the other movies at the moment. While ‘Son Of Sardaar2 ‘ has emerged a winner over ‘Dhadak 2′ when it comes to the battle between these two movies, Saiyaara’ also has begun to slow down and may end up with a lifetime business of Rs 325 to Rs 350 crore.
