Bollywood star Raveena Tandon is set to portray the role of Heeraben Modi, the late mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the upcoming biopic ‘Maa Vande’. Directed by Kranthi Kumar Ch, the film aims to chronicle the emotional and spiritual bond between a mother and her son.According to Bollywood Hungama, Raveena was deeply moved by the role of Heeraben, describing her as a woman of “strength, depth, and fortitude.” The story traces Heeraben’s early struggles, including losing her mother at a young age, and how she went on to hold her family together “with calm and courage.”Ahead of filming, Raveena is set to undergo a complete transformation, as the production mounts an ambitious cinematic scale supported by advanced VFX technology to recreate key phases of Modi’s life.
Unni Mukundan on playing Narendra Modi
The film’s male lead, Unni Mukundan, will portray Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Announced officially on Modi’s birthday, September 17, the actor shared his excitement through an emotional post on X (Twitter), “A man’s story that rises beyond battles… to become a revolution for the ages. #MaaVande it is. Wishing the Honourable Prime Minister @Narendramodi Ji a very Happy Birthday. May glory be revived and brighter things await.”Reflecting on his personal connection, Unni wrote, “Having grown up in Ahmedabad, I first knew him as my Chief Minister during my childhood.
