Kalyani Priyadarshan’s superhero film ‘Lokah’ appears to be nearing the end of its theatrical journey.Reportedly, on its 42nd day, the film managed to collect around Rs 14 lakhs. The film is clearly showing visible signs of slowdown after more than a month in theatres.According to data from the Sacnilk website, ‘Lokah’ has achieved an impressive Rs 300.33 crore worldwide gross, including Rs 154.59 crore India net and Rs 119.3 crore overseas, securing the coveted ‘All Time Blockbuster’ verdict. In the Malayalam market alone, the film’s net collection stands at Rs 120.82 crore.
Consistent success across markets
According to the sources, the film collected Rs 19 lakhs on Day 41, and 40. The film minted Rs 85 lakhs on Day 39. The day wise collections doesn’t look strong for the film and this is surely expected from a movie having it’s 42nd day run in theatres.Directed by Dominic Arun, Lokah stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen K. Gafoor, Vijayaraghavan, Arun Kurian, and Sandy Master in key roles.
‘Lokah’ OTT release
Since the film is nearing it’s theatrical run, the fans are waiting for the OTT release announcement for ‘Lokah’. Although there has been no official confirmation about the same, 123 Telugu website reports that the movie will start streaming on October 20. Meanwhile, earlier Dulquer Salmaan shared a social media note regarding the same, saying, “Lokah isn’t coming to OTT anytime soon. Ignore the fake news and stay tuned for official announcements.”
