Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is used to being in the spotlight, but when it comes to his personal life, he’s made it clear he likes to keep things private. The two-time NFL MVP has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Jaime Taylor, for years — yet little is known about her, and that’s exactly how they both seem to prefer it. Jackson and Taylor first met back in high school in Boynton Beach, Florida, long before he became one of the most electric players in the NFL. They started dating while he was at the University of Louisville, where his incredible performances made him a Heisman Trophy winner and set him on the path to becoming the face of the Ravens franchise.
A quiet relationship in a loud football world
While Jackson’s career took off, Taylor chose to stay out of the public eye. She doesn’t use social media and rarely appears with him at events. Despite his fame, the couple has built their relationship on privacy and balance — something rare in the NFL world. They have a young daughter named Milan, though Jackson almost never posts about his family. In fact, the only time Taylor has spoken publicly was during a 2019 interview with the Ravens’ media team, the same season Jackson earned his first MVP award.“He’s taught me how to handle criticism,” Taylor said. “I mean, I used to get mad when I’d read stuff. Then I’d look at him, and he’s just fine. He says, ‘Let them do the talking. You don’t have to say anything. Just show them.’” She went on to explain that Jackson’s calm attitude helps her in daily life too. “He never lets outside noise define him,” Taylor said. “That’s something I’ve learned from him every day.”
Jackson preparing for return as Ravens look to rebound
Jackson’s focus is now on getting healthy and helping the Ravens turn their season around. After missing time with a right hamstring injury, he’s expected to return Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins. “Each and every game is going to be like a win-or-go-home game,” Jackson said after practice. “It’s do-or-die right now, each and every week.”The Ravens, currently 2-5, recently traded Odafe Oweh to the Los Angeles Chargers for Alohi Gilman as they try to strengthen their defense for a late-season push. Also read: Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank donates a whopping $2.5 million to help Hurricane Melissa victims in Jamaica and Cuba
