Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that financial assistance under the Ladli Behna Yojana will be transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts on July 12. He further stated that, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan next month in August, an additional Rs. 250 special assistance will be transferred to each beneficiary along with the regular monthly amount. This will directly benefit approximately 1.27 crore women in the state.CM Dr. Yadav made these announcements while addressing ministers ahead of the Cabinet meeting held at the Mantralaya on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister informed that an innovation initiated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh has been adopted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. Inspired by Madhya Pradesh, JNU will now refer Vice-Chancellors as ‘Kulguru’, a term rooted in Indian tradition.
CM Dr. Yadav said Guru Purnima will be celebrated on July 10, with two-day programs in all schools and colleges. District in-charge ministers will participate prominently. Local public representatives, intellectuals, teachers, and saints will also be invited to participate. On this occasion, the Kamla Nehru Sandipani School will be inaugurated in Bhopal.
The Chief Minister highlighted the significant positive results of removal of the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS). Referring to a recent report, he noted that this decision has led to a 70% reduction in fatalities and 51% decrease in road accidents. The decision to remove BRTS was made in January 2024, and its successful implementation reflects the government’s commitment to public welfare.
Nishadraj Sammelans on July 12
The Chief Minister announced that Nishadraj Sammelans will be organized across the state for the welfare and dignity of those involved in fisheries. Although Nishadraj Jayanti falls on July 10, the Sammelans will be held on July 12 for coordinated observance. Initiatives such as increasing remuneration, distributing bonuses, and constructing rest platforms near reservoirs for workers will be undertaken. He also informed that a modern Kevat Training Institute costing around Rs. 5 crore is being planned in Bhopal.
Vision Documents for Each Constituency
CM Dr. Yadav directed ministers to visit their districts and ensure completion of constituency-wise vision documents within 10 days, as part of the government’s Vision 2023 initiative. He asked that relevant developmental plans be included in the budget and executed accordingly.
Ludhiana Investors Express Strong Interest in Madhya Pradesh
CM Dr. Yadav stated sharing his experience from the July 7 industrial interaction in Ludhiana, that discussions were held with major industrialists on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Over 400 industry representatives actively participated in the interactive session. The government received investment proposals worth Rs. 15,606 crore, with the potential to generate over 20,275 new jobs. The CM expressed delight over the growing emotional and business bond between Madhya Pradesh and industrialists from Punjab.
Delegation to Visit Dubai and Spain From July 13–19
CM Dr. Yadav announced that a delegation from Madhya Pradesh will visit Dubai and Spain from July 13 to 19. The purpose is to hold business meetings, one-on-one interactions with companies, and explore investments in key sectors. The visit aims to attract foreign investments, enable technology exchange, expand access to international markets, create employment opportunities, and strengthen international relations. He called it a major step towards global outreach.
Timely Issuance Of Caste Certificates To Be Ensured
Minister of Urban Administration and Housing Smt. Pratima Bagri welcomed CM Dr. Yadav with a plant and expressed gratitude for his sensitivity. She shared that two candidates selected through MPPSC were facing issues due to minor errors in their caste certificates. Upon the CM’s directive, the concerned district collectors ensured timely resolution, enabling both candidates to join their new posts. Referring to this incident, the Chief Minister directed all ministers and senior officials to ensure timely issuance of caste certificates. No eligible person should suffer due to errors or delays in this essential document.
