Filmmaker and producer Kiran Rao, ex-wife of actor Aamir Khan, delighted her followers on Wednesday by sharing heartwarming pictures with her son Azad Rao Khan on Instagram. The post captured how much Azad has grown over the years, tall enough now to tower over his mother.
Azad playfully proves his height advantage over mom Kiran
In the first picture, Azad is seen standing beside Kiran, playfully flattening her hair to demonstrate his new height advantage. The second photo, clicked a few years ago, shows a younger Azad smiling beside his mother, shorter at the time.
Sharing the two contrasting moments, Kiran humorously wrote, “Ok fine, I concede that Azad’s a little bit taller than me now. He didn’t need to flatten my hair to prove it. 🙄🥰 The second picture is from a few years ago — thanks @hinabi for the memory…”Actor Poorna Jagannathan reacted to the post asking, “Overnight, right?” to which Kiran replied, “Yes 😳 I’ve gotta stop looking at baby pictures obsessively.”Celebrities including Huma Qureshi, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Tisca Chopra, Sona Mohapatra, and Onir dropped red heart emojis in the comments section.
Kiran talks about co-parenting smoothly with Aamir Khan
Azad, born in 2011, is the only child of Kiran and Aamir, who tied the knot in 2005 and parted ways in 2021. Despite their separation, the two continue to co-parent their son.Earlier, during her appearance on Kareena Kapoor’s talk show, Kiran opened up about her co-parenting equation with Aamir. She mentioned that things have become much smoother over time, with Aamir now being more involved in their son’s life. The filmmaker revealed that they currently live in close proximity, on different floors, and even when they move, they plan to stay nearby. Kiran shared that Azad enjoys spending time with his father, especially as he’s grown older, and that she now feels comfortable leaving him in Aamir’s care. However, she admitted with a laugh that Aamir still isn’t too familiar with school-related matters, something she believes is a common trait among most fathers.
