Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 is unstoppable at the box office . The film just completed its extended first week at the box office and in the last 8 days it has minted Rs 336.50 crore making it the second biggest grosser of 2025. The film has replaced Saiyaara by the film has jumped from 11th to 4th and now to the 2nd spot of the biggest Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda which had collected Rs 329.7 crore from its theatrical release. In fact Kantara 2 has also gone past Kantara’s entire lifetime run of Rs 309 crore within the first week itself. Now only one film stands ahead of Kantara 2 and that is Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava which collected Rs 601.54 crore at the box office. The film is now on its road to Rs 500 crore mark. But that trajectory will very much depend on how the film fares in the second weekend. The film has now real competition in terms of old or new films as no new films are releasing till Diwali. And in terms of old films Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are also already on weak legs and Varun Dhawan- Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar which released on same day as Kantara 2 has been a non-starter in front of Kantara sequel. Kantara 2 has been a bit of a slow performer in the North American market as it just crossed the USD 3.2 million mark in its first week. But as per a tweet shared by it’s distributor the film is holding out strong in the second week as he shared the list of theaters screening films, there were more than 100 cinemas. Kantara 2 features Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram and Rakimini Vasanth in pivotal roles, the makers have also announced the third part with the climax of the second part.Day wise collection of the film in all languagesDay 1 [1st Thursday] ₹ 61.85 Cr [Ka: 19.6 Cr ; Te: 13; Hi: 18.5; Ta: 5.5; Mal: 5.25] –Day 2 [1st Friday] ₹ 45.4 Cr [Ka: 13.5 Cr ; Te: 11.5; Hi: 12.5; Ta: 4.25; Mal: 3.65]Day 3 [1st Saturday] ₹ 55 Cr [Ka: 14.5 Cr ; Te: 11.25; Hi: 19.5; Ta: 5.5; Mal: 4.25]Day 4 [1st Sunday] ₹ 63 Cr [Ka: 16.75 Cr ; Te: 11.5; Hi: 23; Ta: 6.75; Mal: 5]Day 5 [1st Monday] ₹ 31.5 Cr [Ka: 12 Cr ; Te: 5.4; Hi: 8.75; Ta: 2.75; Mal: 2.6]Day 6 [1st Tuesday] ₹ 34.25 Cr [Ka: 13.5 Cr ; Te: 4.75; Hi: 11.25; Ta: 2.5; Mal: 2.25]Day 7 [1st Wednesday] ₹ 25 Cr [Ka: 9 Cr ; Te: 3.5; Hi: 8.5; Ta: 2.15; Mal: 1.85] Day 8 [1st Thursday] ₹ 20.50 Cr [ Ka;&.5Cr, Te:2.5 cr, Hi:7 Cr; Ta:1.75 Cr, Mal: 1.5]Day 9 [2nd Friday] ₹5.18 Cr ( till 3 PM)
