Though nothing has been made official as of now, Boman Irani, who played the role of Professor Viru Sahastrabuddhe in the first installment, has shared an update on the sequel. Boman Irani shares an update on the sequel to ‘3 Idiots’
In an interview with Mid-Day, Boman Irani was asked if a sequel to ‘3 Idiots’ is in the works. To which, the veteran actor shared that he has no confirmed information on the same yet. He further added, “Whatever Rajkumar Hirani [director] chooses to do, I’ll be there for him.” Well, this statement was enough for all the fans of the movie to still hope that the sequel might happen.

Boman Irani is currently working on the sequel of ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’, co-starring Anupam Kher and Ranvir Shorey. Talking about the same, the actor told the publication, “The new director is doing a fantastic job. The spirit of the story is intact.” The original film was helmed by Dibakar Banerjee, while the movie is being directed by Prashant Bhagia. Apart from that, the actor might star in another film by Rajkumar Hirani, the third installment of the ‘Munna Bhai’ franchise. Arshad Warsi, in an interview, had confirmed that the filmmaker is working on the script and it will definitely happen this time.
