
NEW DELHI: Chaitanyananda Saraswati, who allegedly harassed women students of Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management, attempted to mislead police by using a London-based WhatsApp number, sources said.During the investigation, the cops found a CCTV monitoring app installed on his phone, which was used to access the ashram’s security cameras remotely. They questioned three women, including the dean and two wardens. “He has been continuously misleading us, but we confronted Chaitanyananda with evidence,” an officer said. An obscene photograph of a woman taken inside the accused’s room was also found on the device“As soon as the case was registered, the accused told some girls that he was ‘untouchable’ and even boasted, ‘I’ll call the Chief Justice right now’,” the officer said. Swami reportedly took some girls to Almora and allegedly engaged them in honey-trapping activities. In one instance, he allegedly instructed a girl to send him obscene photos with a boy, offering her money to trap the boy, said the officer.
