Gwinnett County police have confirmed they are investigating the case as a homicide, though the motive remains unclear.Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the 33-year-old to a local hospital, but he could not survive his injuries. Authorities have detained one individual for questioning in connection with the shooting.
Family denies party was underway

She also denied that a party was going on at the time. Well-known in the Southern rap scene, T-Hood’s musical credits include songs like ‘Ready 2 Go,’ ‘Big Booty,’ ‘No Secret,’ and ‘Perculator.’He also received the Trendsetter of the Year award at the Black Only Awards 2025. Just last week, the 33-year-old was active on Instagram, sharing a lighthearted video, which has since been filled with heartfelt condolences and prayers from fans and supporters.

Music producer Deedotwill, a frequent collaborator, also expressed his grief, recalling their long conversations and creative sessions. “REST IN PEACE T-HOOD I LOVE YOU BROTHER,” he wrote. T-Hood and Deedotwill have collaborated multiple times in the past.
T-Hood’s girlfriend, Kelsie Frost — daughter of reality star Kirk Frost — also expressed her grief over the rapper’s passing. “Just come get me baby please…. I can’t even type this. I love you papa. I can’t wait to hold you again,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a string of pictures.
