US President Donald Trump has invited India to be part of a proposed international “Board of Peace” aimed at overseeing post-war governance and reconstruction in Gaza, sources told ANI. The initiative forms a key pillar of Trump’s broader Gaza ceasefire plan and is now beginning to take shape, with the White House confirming the involvement of several global figures.According to US officials, the Board of Peace will be chaired by Trump himself and tasked with areas including governance capacity-building, reconstruction, investment mobilisation and regional engagement. Those named so far include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, former UK prime minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga and US financier Marc Rowan.Alongside the main board, the White House has outlined two additional bodies. A Palestinian-led National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, made up of technocrats, is intended to restore public services and stabilise daily life in the territory. An Executive Board, featuring regional and international representatives, will provide advisory and operational support.Several world leaders, including those from Argentina, Canada, Egypt and Turkey, have confirmed receiving invitations to join as founding members. Trump has described the initiative as a “bold new approach” to global conflict resolution.
