India pacer Deepak Chahar created a buzz with a surprise appearance on the popular reality show Bigg Boss, leading to speculation that he might enter the show as a wildcard contestant. Clips shared online showed Chahar engaging with host Salman Khan, instantly grabbing the audience’s attention. Salman added to the excitement, asking, “Hum kab se wait kar rahe the ki iss season ke second wildcard kaun honge?” The first wildcard of the season, Shehbaaz Badesha, had already joined the house, and Chahar’s presence sparked rumours that he could be the next entrant. Chahar lightened the mood with a joke, saying, “I feel Bigg Boss is tougher than cricket itself, because inside the house, you never really know who your enemies are and who your friends are.” When questioned about his chances of winning, he added, “I will first go inside, observe everything, and only then will it be decided. However, the chances of winning are very strong.” It was later clarified that Chahar was visiting for a different reason. He came to support his sister, Malti Chahar, the second wildcard of the season. Malti made a spectacular entry with a dazzling dance performance that impressed viewers. Chahar, who made his India debut in 2018, has been out of international cricket since 2023 but continues to be admired for his pace and wicket-taking abilities. His brief Bigg Boss appearance highlighted his charismatic personality beyond the cricket field. In the 2025 IPL, Chahar plays for Mumbai Indians. He appeared in 14 matches, taking 11 wickets at an economy rate of 9.17. He also holds the record for the best bowling figures by an Indian in a T20I innings.
