Cabinet Meeting Commenced with the Singing of Vande Mataram
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the launch of a new livelihood promotion scheme titled “Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam” in Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme, fruit orchards will be developed on 30,000 acres of land by 30,000 women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs), with an investment of around Rs. 900 crore. A total of 30 lakh horticultural saplings will be planted. Beneficiaries will be provided with Saplings, Fertilizers, and Funds for pit digging, Barbed wire fencing for protection and Water ponds for irrigation. Women beneficiaries will also receive training in orchard development. CM Dr. Yadav congratulated everyone on the successful execution of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan while addressing the Council of Ministers before the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign to Run from July 1 to September 15
CM Dr. Yadav informed that saplings will be planted at the origin points of around 100 rivers, with 10 acres of land allocated per site and a total budget of Rs. 42 crore. The campaign will run from July 1 to September 15 and will be carried out with public participation, coordinated by departments including Panchayat & Rural Development, Urban Development, Forest, and Horticulture. Chief Minister instructed that ‘District Development Advisory Committees’ to be constituted for execution of campaign. Committees will be formed in all districts comprising MPs and MLAs, Representatives from panchayats & urban local bodies and experts from medicine, law, engineering, social service, agriculture, horticulture, and dairy sectors.
Over 85,000 Khet-Taalab Built Under Jal Ganga Abhiyan
The Chief Minister reported significant achievements under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, including construction of over 85,000 Khet-Taalab to retain rainwater, recharge of over 1 lakh wells, and launch of construction of over 1,000 Amrit Sarovars under Amrit Sarovar 2.0 scheme, in urban areas– rejuvenation of over 3,300 water bodies, cleaning of 2,200 drains & construction of more than 4,000 rainwater harvesting structures, participation of 40 lakh citizens in cleaning and restoring over 5,000 historic/religious water bodies (bawdis, temple ponds, etc.) and registration of 2.3 lakh Jaldoots.
Over 15,000 Water Structures Registered in Revenue Records
Digitisation of pilgrimage routes like ‘Narmada Parikrama Path’ and ‘Panchkoshi Yatra’, under the Avril Nirmal Narmada Yojana–plantation has begun on 5,600 hectares, construction of over 2,500+ water retention structures (ponds, stop dams) in forest areas for wildlife and over 15,000 water structures formally recorded in revenue documents. For plantation during the monsoon, 6 crore saplings are ready.
Procurement of Moong and Urad from July 7 to August 6
CM Dr. Yadav informed that the Central Government has fixed procurement targets on Minimum Support Price (MSP) – 3.51 lakh MT for Moong and 1.23 lakh MT for Urad. As of June 30–2.94 lakh farmers registered for Moong, and 11,495 farmers registered for Urad. The last date for registration is July 6, and procurement will be conducted across the state from July 7 to August 6.
Disposal of Union Carbide Waste Completed on June 30
The Chief Minister announced that the long-pending issue of Union Carbide waste disposal was fully resolved on June 30, freeing the state from a 40-year-old burden.
Laptops to Be Distributed to Meritorious Students on July 4
On July 4, laptops will be distributed to meritorious students of the state. Dr. Yadav also briefed the Council about the success of the Regional Industries, Skill & Employment (RISE) Conclave held in Ratlam and the Investor Meet held in Surat, Gujarat.
CM Dr. Yadav Extends Birthday Wishes to Ministers and MLAs
Before the Cabinet meeting, CM Dr. Yadav greeted Deputy CM Shri Jagdish Devda and Minister of State for Forest & Environment Shri Dilip Ahirwar on their birthdays with floral bouquets. He also extended birthday wishes to Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput, and informed the Council about the birthdays of former minister Shri Gopal Bhargava and MLA Smt. Reeti Pathak.
