After the success of ‘Aum Mangalam Singlem’, director Sandeep Patel reunites with Malhar Thakar, Aarohi Patel, and Tatsat Munshi for his upcoming romantic film, ‘Lagan Laagi Re’. The film’s poster is out and has received much attention on social media with fans showering it with love. With this new romantic genre, Patel promises yet another fun, musical, and heartfelt take on modern relationships.In an interview with ETimes with director Sandeep Patel says, ” ‘Lagan Laagi Re’ is all about passion for love, relationships, and everything that surrounds love. The marriage itself is a romantic comedy, and our film reflects that with humour, warmth, and fun. Every individual carries their own passion, and that becomes the soul of this love story. There is a very interesting thought in the film, when two people fall in love together, who really has the right to break that bond? Moreover, one person wants to move on, while the other holds on passionately, unable to accept the breakup. That emotional conflict forms the heart of our story.” Patel further added, “This is a fun-loving, Gen Z-style love story where ex-partners don’t simply forget each other. We spent over a year developing the script with writers Mitai Aishukla, Nihal Bakshi, and myself before taking it to the floor. It’s a musical film filled with songs, humour, and romance, and Malhar and Aarohi have brought the characters to life beautifully.”The director also added how he developed the film, “Creating different shades of love stories rooted in our society is my passion. There are so many genres within romance, and if I can explore them all, I’ll consider my journey complete. With ‘Lagan Laagi Re’, my aim is simple to give my audience joy, laughter, and heartfelt entertainment.”The romantic drama is slated for a release on February 6, 2026.
