The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key and question papers of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check the answer key on the official website cmat.nta.nic.in.Along with the answer key, NTA has also made available the question papers and recorded responses of candidates. Those who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key can raise objections by paying a processing fee.The CMAT 2026 examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency on 25 January 2026 in single shifts through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across the country. A total of 53,453 candidates appeared for the exam.
CMAT 2026 answer key challenge dates
Candidates can challenge the provisional answer key within the given timeline:Answer key challenge window:
- From 31 January 2026 to 2 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
Last date for payment:
- 2 February 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)
CMAT 2026 answer key objection fee
Candidates need to pay Rs 200 per question to challenge the answer key, and the fee is non-refundable.Payment can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. How to raise objections to CMAT 2026 answer key
Candidates can follow the steps below to challenge the provisional answer key:
- Visit the official website cmat.nta.nic.in
- Click on ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’
- Log in using Application Number, Password, and Captcha
- Click on ‘View Question Paper’ for marked responses and ‘Challenge’ to view the answer keys
- Select the Question ID you want to challenge (Question IDs are not in sequential order, so candidates should check carefully)
- Under the ‘Correct Option(s)’ column, choose the option you believe is correct
- Upload supporting documents as a single PDF file using the ‘Choose File’ option
- Click on ‘Submit and Review Claims’
- If needed, use ‘Modify your Claims’, or click ‘Final Submit’
- Click on ‘Pay Now’ and pay Rs 200
- Claims will be saved only after successful payment
What happens after objections are reviewed?
- All challenges will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts. If a challenge is found correct, the answer key will be revised
- The revised answer key will be used to prepare the final result
- Candidates will not be informed individually about acceptance or rejection of objections
