The Programme Will be Held at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre, Bhopal
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute laptops under the Meritorious Student Incentive Scheme on Friday, July 4, at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre in Bhopal. School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh will also be present in the programme.
Under the Meritorious Student Incentive Scheme of the School Education Department, an amount of 25 thousand rupees will be transferred to the bank account of each student who has secured 75 per cent or more marks in the 12th board examination of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education for purchasing a laptop. This year, an amount of 235 crore 58 lakh 50 thousand rupees is being given to 94 thousand 234 students for Laptops.
More than 500 students and teachers from the state will participate in the program. In the previous year 2023-24, an amount of 224 crore 27 lakh 50 thousand rupees was transferred to the bank accounts of 89 thousand 710 meritorious students in the state. This scheme has been operating in the state since the Year 2009-10. Under this scheme, an amount of 1 thousand 80 crore 4 lakh rupees has been transferred as an incentive for Laptops to the bank accounts of 4 lakh 32 thousand 16 students during the last 15 years.
