Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Textiles Minister Shri Giriraj Singh for the commencement of infrastructure development in the first phase of the under-construction ‘PM Mitra Park’ in Dhar district. It is noteworthy that the Central Government is developing the PM Mitra Park on 2,158 acres of land in Dhar at a cost of approximately Rs. 2,050 crore. Recently, tenders worth Rs. 773 crore have been issued for this project.
CM Dr. Yadav stated that this initiative will provide a new momentum to the textile sector in Madhya Pradesh. The state is steadily progressing towards becoming a developed region. The PM Mitra Park (Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel Parks), a gift from PM Shri Modi, will undoubtedly mark the beginning of a new era in the state’s development and in the textile industry.
The park will feature a 20 MLD Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant, a solar-powered power plant, “plug and play” (built-to-suit – BTS) units, and residential facilities for workers. Construction work is targeted for completion within 14 months.
CM Dr. Yadav further informed that applications for land allotment in PM Mitra Park will be invited soon. So far, investment proposals worth Rs. 10,000 crore have been received, reflecting the industry’s enthusiasm for the project.
CM Dr. Yadav said that the PM Mitra Park will provide new energy and direction to India’s textile sector from Madhya Pradesh. It will generate employment for lakhs of people and significantly strengthen the state’s economy. He thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi for this visionary initiative, calling it a historic step toward realizing the goal of an “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India).
The proposal to establish the PM Mitra Park in Bhainsola village, Badnawar tehsil of Dhar district, received formal approval from the Government of India in March 2023. The site is located 110 km from Indore, 85 km from the Pithampur industrial cluster, 50 km from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Ratlam, and 452 km from the nearest port in Hazira, Gujarat.
