Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a courtesy meeting with Mohammed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, in Dubai on Sunday. During the interaction, CM Dr. Yadav shared insights into Madhya Pradesh’s industry-friendly policies, ease of doing business and robust facilities for promoting investment. He also extended a formal invitation to Shri Yamahi to attend the upcoming Energy Summit in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister underlined referring to the growing strategic ties between India and the United Arab Emirates, Madhya Pradesh’s active and constructive role in expanding cooperation in sectors such as energy, minerals, logistics, food processing and green investment. CM Dr. Yadav expressed hope that Madhya Pradesh would emerge as a key and proactive partner in India-UAE bilateral partnerships.
CM Dr. Yadav congratulated Shri Yamahi on recently assuming the prestigious position as President of the Arab Parliament, describing it as a significant achievement to lead a democratic institution representing 22 Gulf nations. He expressed confidence that under Shri Yamahi’s leadership, the Arab Parliament would reach new heights.
The meeting between Dr. Yadav and Shri Al Yamahi was marked by cordiality and mutual respect. Shri Yamahi expressed deep interest in strengthening long-term ties with India, particularly Madhya Pradesh, and assured his full support in facilitating investment from Arab nations. He also emphasized his intention to promote collaboration in trade and industry with the state.
“Umm-e-Ali” – A Term of Affection
Shri Yamahi affectionately addressed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav as “Umm-e-Ali”, in a heartfelt gesture, a term that CM Dr. Yadav deeply appreciated. Shri Yamahi also personally invited the Chief Minister and his family to his residence. The leaders discussed improving connectivity between the people and products of both regions, setting the stage for deeper cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav introduced Madhya Pradesh as the “Heart of India,” home to over 80 million people and rich in forests and wildlife. He proudly highlighted that the state is known as the “Tiger Capital of the World” and has made remarkable strides in tiger conservation, with the highest number of tiger reserves in the country. It is also the only region in India and Asia where cheetahs have been successfully reintroduced from abroad. He emphasised Madhya Pradesh’s identity as India’s most welcoming state, showcasing the state’s hospitality and cultural richness. The state is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Khajuraho, Sanchi, and Bhimbetka—symbolising its deep historical and cultural legacy. Geographically, central and agriculturally prosperous, Madhya Pradesh is a leader in the production of pulses, soybeans, and wheat.
Ready for All-Round Collaboration
CM Dr. Yadav reaffirmed Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to being an active partner in India-UAE relations and expressed readiness to collaborate in all possible ways. He highlighted the state’s leadership in food grain production, forest wealth, and clean energy, stating that there is significant potential in solar, wind and hydro energy sectors.
MP: A Hub of Mineral Resources
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stressed that Madhya Pradesh is a treasure trove of mineral resources, offering a strong foundation for industrial development. The state is keen to partner with the UAE on joint pilot projects in science, technology and renewable energy, learning from the UAE’s advancements in these fields. Madhya Pradesh is also taking a lead in coal-based methane extraction, opening new frontiers in the energy sector. The state is proud of its rich handicrafts, arts, and artisanal traditions, and is eager to promote these on a global platform.
Investment Opportunities across Key Sectors
CM Dr. Yadav outlined excellent investment opportunities in Industrial Parks, Pharmaceuticals, Logistics, Tourism, Food Processing and Renewable & Clean Energy. He invited Arab businesses to explore partnerships in these areas and assured full support and facilitation from the state government.
