CM Praises Models and Innovations in Urban Development
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated an exhibition themed “Building Cities of Tomorrow” at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore, as part of the Madhya Pradesh Growth Conclave 2025. The exhibition showcased various urban development projects being implemented across the state, highlighting robust infrastructure, innovations, investment promotion policies, and developmental schemes. CM Yadav visited the exhibition and appreciated the presentations.
Glimpses of the Indore Development Model
The exhibition featured the Indore Development Authority’s infrastructure models, including the multi-purpose sports park developed on PPP mode, the convention center near the airport, and the upcoming startup park aimed at boosting the startup culture in the city. QR codes were provided for digital access to detailed information on all projects, which CM Yadav noted with satisfaction.
Role of Metro Rail in Tomorrow’s Cities
The exhibition also highlighted the role of metro rail in future cities. Displays included the Indore Metro (Yellow Line) and Bhopal Metro (Orange and Blue Lines) along with models of modern, domestically manufactured rolling stock (trains) and informative panels emphasizing efficient urban mobility solutions.
Technology Driven Projects
Five transformative, technology-based policies ITES & ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023, Global Capability Center (GCC) Policy 2025, Drone Promotion and Utilization Policy 2025, AVGC-XR Policy 2025 (Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics & Extended Reality) and Semiconductor Policy 2025 were showcased.
A special exhibit by Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), Indore presented dynamic infrastructure projects and the fast-developing IT ecosystem. Highlights included Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor, IT Park-3 and IT Park-4 (Super Corridor, Indore), Working Women’s Hostel, Plug-and-Play facilities at the Readymade Garment Complex.
Innovations in Green Development
The exhibition also showcased innovations from industrial units supporting green growth. Examples included Polycarbonate sheets for natural lighting in homes as a sustainable building material, Robotic parking systems to solve urban parking issues, Electric vehicles for waste collection and disposal, promoting clean transportation. CM Dr. Yadav appreciated the contributions of industrialists working on these sustainable solutions.
The exhibition featured displays from Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO), Bhopal Development Authority, Ujjain Development Authority, AMRUT Harit Abhiyan and more. These exhibits highlighted the state’s dynamic industrial ecosystem, rapid IT infrastructure growth, resilient urban planning, and inclusive urban development.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, along with several public representatives and investors, were present at the exhibition.
