On Friday night, ‘Bridgerton’ fans received an inside look at Season 4’s new love story ahead of its release on January 29. ‘Bridgerton Season 4’ will give fans a journey of the love story between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek. The inside look released by the streaming platform has given fans some behind-the-scenes footage and what to expect from them in Season 4. Yerin Ha, the Australian actor who will be playing the role of Sophie Baek, says that the love story is “steamy but so beautiful.”

Jess Brownell, the showrunner, has revealed a little about Sophie’s backstory and explained how Sophie Baek was raised as a “noble young lady.” After the death of Sophie Baek’s father, she is forced into being a maid.Yerin Ha reveals that, even though Sophie is a maid, she sneaks off to go to the Masquerade Ball one night and meets Benedict Bridgerton, and ever since that night, her life changed and goes on for “quite a journey”.

Yerin Ha says, “I feel in the book Sophie has sassiness to her, but there is also this vulnerable side and fragility.” She says she was most excited to bring that personality to “life”. It seems ‘Bridgerton fans will not just get to see ‘cottagecore romance, but also some ‘steamy scandalous romance,’ as Yerin Ha says the love story is a “perfect mingling of fantasy and reality” and is “steamy but so beautiful.”Luke Thompson says, “It always feels like you come back with a slightly different spin.” Luke Thompson further adds that the storyline has “an element of fairytale” about it. Luke Thompson feels the story makes you “feel like a little kid again.
‘Bridgerton Season 4’ release date
‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 will follow a split-release format, Part 1 and Part 2. The season will mainly focus on the love story of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek. Part 1 will premiere on January 29, 2026. Part 2 will arrive on February 26, 2026. The season will have eight episodes in total. All episodes will stream only on Netflix.
