BPSC recruitment 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 590 teaching positions in Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges across the state. The recruitment drive includes vacancies for the posts of Principal and Associate Professor under the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education.Online applications for these posts will be accepted through the official BPSC website. The application process for Associate Professor posts will begin on August 18, 2025, and will continue until September 12, 2025. For Principal posts in Government Polytechnic and Government Women Polytechnic Institutes, the application process will begin on August 12, 2025, and close on September 9, 2025.Vacancy details across various disciplinesOut of the total 590 vacancies, 539 are for Associate Professor posts and 51 are for Principal positions. These roles are being offered in both Engineering Colleges and Polytechnic Institutions.
Eligibility criteria and age limitsFor the post of Associate Professor, candidates must have a minimum age of 30 years. For Principal positions, the minimum age requirement is 37 years. There is no maximum age limit for either of the posts. The retirement age is set at 65 years for all candidates.Application fee structureBPSC has defined the application fee structure based on category:• General candidates: Rs 100• Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of Bihar: Rs 25• All female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar (reserved/unreserved): Rs 25• Handicapped candidates (with 40% or more disability): Rs 25• All other candidates: Rs 100Application process and official websiteThe application forms for all posts must be submitted online through the official BPSC website.
