On Tuesday, speculation surfaced about an upcoming film running into production trouble. According to reports, the action-comedy starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan — a collaboration between Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment — began shooting in 2024 but stalled shortly thereafter.
Release delay claims
Reports also suggested that the film’s release, initially slated for 2026, had been delayed, either for a theatrical or OTT release, marking yet another setback. However, speaking to Hindustan Times, Karan Johar dismissed these claims, saying, “This is not true. We have 10 days of shoot left, and we are very much releasing the film theatrically this year.” The film’s director, Aakash Kaushik, also maintained that the production is progressing as planned.
Actors’ upcoming projects
On the professional front, Ayushmann Khurrana is gearing up for Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya, while Sara Ali Khan is preparing for Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do.
Karan Johar’s legacy
