
Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi has finally addressed the burning question many fans have had about his absence from the big screen. In a heartfelt vlog shared on his YouTube channel, Ashish shared that he has consciously stepped back from films as he waits for more meaningful, central roles. “Main ek behtreen actor hoon,” he declared, adding that after over three decades and 300 films across 11 languages, he now wants to explore deeper, leading roles that do justice to his talent.
A call to filmmakers
Ashish spoke candidly about his interactions with industry professionals, saying he tells directors and producers: “Just because you haven’t given me those roles yet, doesn’t mean you can’t now.”He revealed that while he is not chasing fame or volume of films anymore, he’s waiting for that one role that makes him come alive as a performer again. “I’m not sitting at home depressed. I’m just not settling,” he added, reflecting a deep sense of self-worth built from years of hard work and dedication to his craft.

He’s found joy and purpose in new pursuits as a motivational speaker, a travel vlogger, and even the creator of a comedy sketch show called Sit Down Ashish.While the silver screen might not have showcased him lately, he remains as visible and engaged as ever—with his audience, on his own terms.Meanwhile, Ashish received much praise for his antagonist role in the action thriller movie ‘Kill’. He was also recently seen in the series ‘Rana Naidu’ where he played the character named Surya Rao.
