The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has officially announced the recruitment of Forest Beat Officers (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officers (ABO) under the Andhra Pradesh Forest Subordinate Service. As per Notification No. 06/2025, a total of 691 vacancies (256 FBO + 435 ABO) are available, including posts reserved for Meritorious Sportspersons (MSP). Interested candidates can apply online through psc.ap.gov.in from July 16, 2025, until August 5, 2025 (11:59 PM).

The APPSC recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 691 posts, including 256 Forest Beat Officers (FBO) and 435 Assistant Beat Officers (ABO) under the Andhra Pradesh Forest Subordinate Service.To be eligible, candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination (Class 12) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board. The age limit is set between 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2025. Here is how candidates will be able to register online:
- Visit the official site: psc.ap.gov.in
- Register through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR)
- Log in using your OTPR ID and password
- Click on the notification for FBO/ABO recruitment and fill in the application
- Upload documents and pay the application fee
- Submit and download a copy for reference
What’s next?
The recruitment process includes a Screening Test (if applicants exceed 200 times the vacancies), followed by an objective-type Main Examination. Qualified candidates must then clear Physical Tests, including a walking endurance test and medical exam. Finally, candidates must pass a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) to be eligible for final selection.The dates for the screening and main exams will be announced separately.
