Director Aditya Dhar’s recently released film ‘Dhurandhar’ has created a huge hype all over the corner. Be it a story line or the iconic actors’ entry the film is still grabbing the eyeballs. Well, many celebrities have gushed to social media handles and have praised the film. Recently veteran actor Anupam Kher praised the recently released ‘Dhurandhar’ and its big success.
Anupam Kher shares a video message on Instagram
In a video message posted on Instagram, Kher said, “I don’t have a role in this film. I am not connected to anything. But I don’t know why with the success of this film my heart is very peaceful.” He added that the feeling was not planned but it came naturally. He said he felt pride and calm at the same time.
Landmark films and personal view
In the same video Kher said he was speaking as a cinema lover and not as a film’s expert. He said only a few films become landmarks in history. He spoke about films like Godfather Sholay and Mughal e Azam. He explained that some films change how people see cinema. He said that his films such as ‘Saaransh’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’, ‘A Wednesday’ and ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ gave new thoughts to viewers and that made them special.Anupam Kher also praised director Aditya Dhar with full heart. He said he liked Dhurandhar because it was made with belief and courage. He said “As a filmmaker he has not followed any pattern or formula. No formula. Just conviction.” He also spoke about Aditya coming from a family that faced pain and struggle. He said the success of the film shows what courage really means.
Answering propaganda talk
Anupam strongly reacted to people calling the film propaganda. He said the audience response itself is the answer. He said “Don’t teach us what propaganda is. You are not going to decide what is a propaganda film. Don’t make us feel small.” He added that when people try to make art look small art comes back stronger. He said Dhurandhar has shut many minds and broken many thoughts. He called 2025 a big year for Aditya Dhar and praised Yami Gautam’s films too. Aditya Dhar replied with thanks and said these words push him to do better and stay honest.
