In the world of glitz and glamour, everything comes at its own cost. On the one hand, where celebrities enjoy fame, on the other hand, they stay under the media’s scrutiny 24×7. Thus, a lot of times, stars have openly spoken about the pap culture. While some criticised them, others appreciated them for their hard work. ‘Gadar 2’ actress Ameesha Patel falls in the latter category. During a recent media spotting, the actress expressed her admiration for paparazzi and lauded them for their hard work. Her remark came amid the ongoing debate stirred by Jaya Bachchan’s recent criticism of paparazzi.
Ameesha Patel expresses her love for paps amid Jaya Bachchan’s remark
The ‘Gadar’ fame star Ameesha Patel was recently posing for the shutterbugs when she was asked about her opinion on Jaya Bachchan’s criticism of paparazzi. The actress mentioned that everyone has their own opinion, and when it comes to her own, she has nothing but love for the paps.
She said, “Well, everyone’s entitled to their opinion. But I love the paps. I love you, media people. I love you all. You all work very hard. Whether it’s sunny, rainy, cold, or hot, you all are always doing a good job.”
What did Jaya Bachchan say about paparazzi?
During her interaction with Barkha Dutt at a recent event, Jaya Bachchan was asked about her relationship with paparazzi. The actress, who is known for her blunt honesty, said, “My relationship with paparazzi is zero.”She also questioned their qualifications, looks and professionalism, and expressed criticism towards their intrusive behaviour. Her statement didn’t go down well with people. Following her remark, Ashoke Pandit slammed the actress by saying, “Jaya Bachchan ji’s statement against the paparazzi reeks of snobbish elitism. To criticise the aggressive coverage of certain paps is one thing, but to demean the profession altogether, laced with downright classist remarks, is unbecoming of such a senior member of our film industry and a parliamentarian.”“They’re hardworking professionals doing their job, for which most times they’ve been called by the stars and their PR teams themselves. So if she has such a strong opinion against the paparazzi culture, it’s time to look inwards rather than indulge in this misplaced outrage. Not very parliamentarian, #JayaBachchan ji,” the concluded.
