More about the ‘Don’ franchise
It was Amitabh Bachchan who played the titular character in the 1978 film. Then, SRK played the iconic character in ‘Don’ and ‘Don 2’, released in the years 2006 and 2011, respectively. Both movies were directed by Farhan Akhtar. Last year, the makers announced ‘Don 3’ with Ranveer Singh. However, recently, the actor backed out from the project. According to Pinkvilla, “He is keen to collaborate with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee, and at the same time, he doesn’t want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films, especially since Dhurandhar is already established in that space.”
