This heartwarming visit was about reconnecting with people who helped bring that legendary film to life. One such person was Dana Bhai who is a local who supported the team during Lagaan’s shoot . Dana Bhai even allowed the crew to build the film’s set on his land.In the pictures shared by ABP NewsTv, Aamir, visibly emotional, was seen hugging Dana Bhai and meeting his family. The actor spent time reliving old memories. Aamir shared a meal, and engaged in heartfelt conversations.
A landmark moment; First-ever screening of Lagaan In the village
Aamir Khan hosted the first-ever screening of ‘Lagaan’ in Kotey village. Despite being the place where the film was shot, the villagers had never seen it on the big screen — until now.In a video shared by Spice Social Instagram handle, Aamir Khan says, “I’m truly happy to be here. Standing in this place brings back so many old memories. All the villagers in the movie were from Dana Bhai’s village and also from Bhuj. I believe this is the first screening in Kotey village, which makes it a historic moment — the film is being shown here for the very first time. I’m really glad that our journey began right here, in this ‘Lagaan’ village.“
